The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) and the Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) family extend their heartfelt wishes to our member countries for a bright, joyful, and prosperous Diwali!

May the spirit of Diwali remind us that even a single flame can brighten the darkness and that, together, we can light the path toward a more hopeful and harmonious future.

Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is widely celebrated as the Festival of Lights, which symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. This year, Diwali falls on November 8, 2026, which is the night of Kartik Amavasya. In Hindu tradition, Diwali is associated with Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after his exile. The festival is welcomed through the lighting of diyas, decorating homes with colorful designs known as rangoli, sharing sweets, and offering prayers to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha for happiness and prosperity.

As the lamps of Diwali illuminate homes and communities across our member countries, may their light inspire us to pursue our aspirations with purpose, strengthen our spirit of collaboration, and build a future where quality, integrity, and opportunity reach every community we serve.
