The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) convened its 120th Governing Board Meeting (GBM) on February 5, 2026 at its headquarters in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The meeting was presided over by Her Excellency (H.E.) Constance See Sin Yuan, Ambassador of Singapore, and His Excellency (H.E.) Dr. Chanaka Talpahewa, Ambassador of Sri Lanka, who serve as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the CPSC Governing Board, respectively. It brought together members of the Governing Board, Heads of Missions, and country representatives from the embassies of Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. CPSC Director General Prof. (Dr.) Suresh K. Dhameja, Secretary and Ex-Officio Member of the Board assisted the GB Chairperson and Vice Chairperson in facilitating the meeting and presented reports and updates to the Board based on the meeting agenda.

As part of the Board’s oversight and governance, the members discussed the College’s strategic directions and key administrative matters for fiscal year (FY) 2025-2026. The Director General presented its Midyear Report covering the accomplishments, program implementations, financial updates, and operational developments from July to December 2025. The report highlighted ongoing initiatives aligned with the College’s mandate and regional TVET priorities.







The Board likewise reviewed the Report and Recommendations on the Midterm Review of the CPSC Strategic Plan 2023-2028, which assessed progress across strategic thrust areas and suggested priority actions to improve organizational performance for the rest of the implementation period.

The completion of the term of the former Governing Board-Engaged Faculty Consultant from Malaysia was also reported during the meeting. Likewise, the Board was provided with an update on the recruitment of Faculty Specialists. In preparation for the second half of the fiscal year 2025-2026, the line-up of upcoming programs and collaborative engagements of the College for January to June 2026 was also presented to the Board during the meeting.

As a biannual activity, the GBM serves as a key platform for the Board’s midyear and annual oversight to guide the College in its strategic priorities and supporting the TVET initiatives for the Asia-Pacific region.
