The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) celebrates with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in commemoration of its 78th Independence Day this August 14, 2025. We honor the nation’s commitment to sustainable development, cultural diversity, and the advancement of regional cooperation through technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

CPSC extends its heartfelt wishes for continued harmony, unity, and a prosperous future for the nation of Pakistan.

2025 Celebrations

Preparations are in full swing across Pakistan to mark this year’s Independence Day, showcasing Pakistan’s dedication to truth, justice, resilience, and unity amid challenges.

According to Professor Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, this year’s celebrations highlight Pakistan’s steady progress in economic recovery, defense resilience, and the international recognition of its leadership. “The celebrations will send a clear message to the world that Pakistan stands proud, strong, and committed to its sovereignty,” he said.

As part of the festivities, cultural events such as national songs, heartfelt dramas, poetry gatherings, documentaries, and cultural fairs are held. Schools will also organize essay writing contests, painting contests, and national song recitals, which aim to inspire the nation and share its story to the world.

Furthermore, there will be flag-hoisting ceremonies nationwide, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem and patriotic songs. Buildings are adorned with national flags, buntings, and lights across the country, while houses and cars are decorated with patriotic symbols. Crowds are also drawn to the bustling markets and roadside stalls selling green-and-white items like flags and badges.

In addition, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has released a new patriotic song titled "Dil Se Pakistan," which will be broadcast on radio and television channels as part of the celebrations.
